With the Civil Service Fast Stream just a couple of months away from opening to applicants for the autumn 2027 intake, it's a good time to start your background reading on the different schemes available and crucially to register your interest, pre-registration is now open:

About the Civil Service Fast Stream

Your will qualify for many of the schemes if you are a final-year undergraduate, a current graduate, or a degree apprentice, most accept graduates with a 2:2.

There are 17 schemes to choose from, Fast Stream Schemes for example: Science and Engineering to Government Policy or Cyber Security to Diplomatic and Development Economics, there are a wide base of fantastic schemes available. There will be one to match your ambition and by pre-registering you will be the first to hear when the programme opens to applications. This is important because the more time you have to craft your application the better.

Also, if you're starting to seek out an internship for next summer you can also pre-register (it's at the bottom of the form). This isn’t the fast stream, but it is a great opportunity to build your skills and experience whilst also seeing if the Civil Service is for you.
